The Lodge has belonged to the Bastard family for a number of generations
and was once owned by Hugh Nourse, brother-in-law to the first Prime Minister
of South Africa and famed Boer General Louis Botha.

Dinner and talk followed by book signing of limited edition books (see below)
Dinner book launch publicised through Kokstad Museum, Kokstad Advertiser (newspaper) and other organisations like the National Library of S Africa.
Prominent Griqua personalities are expected to attend.
Children of the Mist will be available for purchase - ZAR200 each (inc VAT) - signed by author.
There is a limited edition numbered 100 copies of the book that will be specially inscribed by senior Griqua in Kokstad and the author. (Collectors item). Only available at the Kokstad launches (while stocks last) and the Kokstad Museum.
