Launch at Trevor Barlow Library
Bloemfontein, 25th October
Today was my final launch at the Trevor Barlow Library in the coloured suburb of Heidedal. It was, without doubt, one of the the best presented launches arranged for my book.
Elizabeth had done a fantastic job and the large audience of about 50 included the Griqua Kaptyn of the Orange Free State. Johannes Kraalshoek, the General Manager of Libraries in the OFS, Mr Thithi, several researchers from the University of the Orange Free State like Dr Mike Bester, and staff from Fascination Books in the Mimosa Mall. The staff, Magda de Vries and her aide, Janine, had been instrumental in the planning of this event.
The launch went exceptionally well and after my presentation I had to time to exchange emails and chat to several key members of the local Griqua community.
